IDEA Public Schools, a network of charter schools, has broken ground on a new campus in Midland, Texas.

The Odessa American reports that the campus will be home to two schools: IDEA Henry Academy for elementary grades and a College Preparatory for older students. The campus is scheduled to open in 2026.

The school will be the fourth campus in IDEA's broader Permian Basin region. The Academy will open with grade levels K-2; and the College Preparatory will welcome students in grades 6 and 9-12

The IDEA network serves over 88,000 students in 145 schools across the nation, including Texas, Ohio and Florida.

IDEA says its schools aim to close the opportunity gap and increase levels of achievement by preparing students from underserved communities for success in college and beyond.
