North Ridgeville (Ohio) district breaks ground on new high school

The 340,000-square-foot building will be twice the size of the existing high school.

The North Ridgeville (Ohio) district has broken ground on a new high school.

The Chronicle-Telegram reports that the new high school is scheduled to open in 2028. The 340,000-square-foot building will be twice the size of the existing high school. It will have a two-story academic facility, auditorium, large performing arts center and a pool. 

The existing high school building is to be demolished in summer 2028, and the site will be seeded for sports fields.

The project is funded by a $143 million bond issue approved by voters in November 2023.

The architect is ThenDesign Architecture, and the builder is Hammond Construction
