Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, said it plans to spend $52.5 million on major facility upgrades over the next five years.
Spectrum News 1 reports that the three major projects planned by the university are construction of a $32 million building to house the Sullivan School of Business, Engineering and Technology; a $10.5 million renovation of the Randall School, which will house the College of Health Sciences; and a $10 million expansion and modernization of the Van Male Field House.
“This ambitious plan will not only reshape our campus — it will shape the future of our region,” Carroll University President Cindy Gnadinger said.
The new Sullivan School of Business, Engineering and Technology will be designed to serve as a “cross-disciplinary hub” for those studying business, computer science, aviation science, drone technology, artificial intelligence and engineering
The renovation of the Randall School will support the university’s physician assistant program, therapeutic abilities clinic and the rehabilitative exercise clinic.
The expansion of the Van Male Field House will add a weight training facility, an indoor competition arena, multipurpose indoor courts for softball and baseball, an updated lobby, student gathering spaces, dining spaces, an alumni suite and an expanded Hall of Fame Hallway.
The field house was constructed in 1969, when the university had just 300 student-athletes.
