Pasco (Washington) district is opening 2 new high schools

The Pasco (Washington) School District is ready to open two new high schools in Pasco for 2025-26.

The Tri-City Herald reports that the $126 million Sageview High School and the $28 million Orion High School will welcome its first students later this month.

Sageview is a two-story, 300,000-square-foot building that will serve upward of 2,000 students on a 65-acre campus. It will feature a signature CTE agriculture program. 

Sageview will open to freshmen, sophomores and juniors during its first year. Seniors in the Class of 2026, will remain at their old high schools.

Orion will serve as a specialized career and college academy. The new facility spans 65,000 square feet and will serve upward of 600 high school students, who will graduate with workforce-ready certifications, credentials and experience.

Orion will open to just freshman and add subsequent grade levels in following years.
