The $130 million Legacy Hall is scheduled to open in Tallahassee in 2025.

Florida State University has broken ground in Tallahassee on a new home for its College of Business.

The Tallahassee Democrat reports that Legacy Hall will cost an estimated $130 million and is expected to be completed by 2025.

“This space makes all the difference when it comes to developing the students’ passions and skills to succeed while inspiring the next generation of great business leaders, job creators and entrepreneurs,” said University President Richard McCullough.

The Rovetta Business Building has been home to the College of Business since 1958.

“Our reputation has outgrown Rovetta, and we need a new building, but we’re never going to forget our Rovetta roots,” College of Business Dean Michael Hartline said.

With five floors and more than 218,000 square feet, the building will accommodate future growth. The Rovetta Business Building was built to accommodate 3,000 students but has over 8,000 students.
