Texas charter network is constructing an elementary campus in Harris County
Harmony Public Schools, a network of charter campuses in Texas, has acquired 29 acres in Harris County to construct an elementary school.
The 58,000-square-foot building in the Bridgeland planned community will open with about 450 students in pre-K through second grade as well as sixth grade in 2024, reports Community Impact Newspaper.
Additional grade levels will be added in subsequent years.
The facility will provide spaces for hands-on projects involving robotics, 3D printing, rocketry, drones, esports, makerspaces and other STEM elements.
A second building for middle and high school students is planned.
Harmony Public Schools emphasizes a science, technology, engineering and math curriculum with a focus on college and career readiness, project-based learning and character education.
