The Rolling Hills (Ohio) school district is moving forward with plans for $48.3 million in facilities upgrades that will create a preK-12 campus in Byesville.

The project calls for the renovation the existing high school, adding on space for middle school grades and constructing a two-story, 82,000-square-foot K-5 building on the front of the complex, reports The Daily Jeffersonian

Board members expressed concerns about rising construction costs, but decided to proceed with the design phase of the project.

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission is allocating $21.4 million toward the project and a 51% local match from the local Guernsey Power Plant is also providing funding.
