Texas A&M University receives $500,000 donation toward construction of reproduction and biotechnology center

The new animal science center will include research labs, educational spaces, animal-handling areas and dedicated research lab space for emerging technologies.

Texas A&M University has received a $500,000 donation from Merck Animal Health toward construction of a $9.9 million reproduction and biotechnology center on the College Station campus. 

The animal science center will have research labs, educational spaces, animal-handling areas and dedicated research lab space for emerging technologies and practices for academic and industry partner use, reports Texas A&M AgriLife Today

The center is expected to be completed in 2023.
