Saginaw (Mich.) district begins construction on a new campus for Handley Elementary School
The Saginaw (Mich.) district is constructing a new campus for Handley Elementary School.
The 60,000-square-foot building will house 16 interactive classrooms, art and music studios, a S.T.E.A.M. lab, and a gymnasium that has an attached performance stage, reportsWCEN-FM.The construction will result in the fourth location for Handley Elementary. The first Handley was built in 1929; that facility was razed in 2006 to make way for Thompson Middle School, and Handley operated out of the former North Middle School. The current location is the former South Middle School,
Construction is expected to be completed by 2024.
