The center will have immersive classrooms with themes such as greenhouses, savanna grassland and a construction zone.

The Gregory-Portland (Texas) district has broken ground on a $37.6 million early childhood center.

The facility is being built at the district's former central office in Portland, reports The Corpus Christi Caller-Times

The building will have immersive classrooms that will be based on themes such as greenhouses, savanna grassland and a construction zone. 

Funding for the project comes from a $107.7 million bond issue approved in 2020.
