The Nye County (Nev.) district has approved construction of a $15.2 million elementary school in Tonopah. 

The 26,000-square-foot Tonopah Elementary School will help to create a centralized campus in Tonopah, reports The Pahrump Valley Times. 

More than 60 percent of elementary school parents approved of re-locating the elementary school.

Construction is expected to be completed by 2024.
