Three new buildings welcome students back for fall at the University of Denver

The university has has completed construction on a community commons building, a residence hall for first-year students, and a career center.

Three new academic buildings have opened on the campus of University of Denver in Denver, Colo

The facilities--a community commons building, a residence hall for first-year students, and a career center--are all centrally situated on the campus, says a news release from Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners.

The Community Commons has variety of spaces for students, faculty, staff and visitors to dine, meet, socialize, study, and make use of supportive services. Food services are placed at the heart of the Commons

The Dimond Family Residential Village has capacity for 501 students and will house first-year students.

The Burwell Center for Career Achievement, a 23,000-square-foot building, will be a campus hub focused on career development, employer engagement and alumni activities. The center features a tower stair and an executive lounge that provides views to the campus.

The Community Commons project and the Dimond Family Residential Village were built by Saunders Construction, and the Burwell Career Center was built by PCL Construction.

Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners designed the Community Commons facility, Anderson Mason designed the Dimond Family Residential Village and Lake|Flato designed the Burwell Career Center.
