The Del Mar Union (Calif.) school district has begun construction on its ninth campus.
The 67,000-square-foot Pacific Sky School will sit on 10.47 acres and will have the capacity for 480 students with 20 K-6 classrooms.
The school will have STEAM+ spaces; an innovation center/multi-use room; a blacktop play area; and a field that will accommodate soccer, baseball and other sports, reports Del Mar Times.
The campus will also be home to a new central cafeteria.
Pacific Sky is scheduled to open in 2022.
