University of Alabama Huntsville nears completion of new student services building (with Video)

Facility set to open in the spring will serve as a front door for the campus
Jan. 8, 2016

Construction of a new student services building at the University of Alabama in Huntsville is nearing completion.

WHNT-TV reports that school officials expect to move into the new facility in April or May.

The university envisions the $24 million, 70,000-square-foot building, which will be the first thing visitors see when they turn into the main gates of the campus, as a front door to the school.

The facility will bring administrative offices that are now spread across the university under one roof.

The architect is Nola Van Peursem.
