West Virginia district begins construction of middle school

$35 million facility will replace 2 middle schools in Brooke County

The Brooke County (W.Va.) district has broken ground on a $35 million middle school that will replace two existing schools.

WTOV-TV reports that when the new campus opens in two years, it will have about 900 students and bring together students who would have attended Follansbee and Wellsburg middle schools. District officials described those schools as old and outdated.
