The district is building an elementary, renovating an intermediate campus, and adding an outdoor activities pavilion at its high school, reports The Gazette.
Funds will come from a $31 million bond issue approved last year.
The projects will add an outdoor activities complex at Marion High School and renovate Francis Marion Intermediate School
The district is spending $5.7 million to move the outdoor activities complex from Thomas Park to the high school.
The $6.6 million renovations to Francis Marion Intermediate School will undergo $6.6 million in renovations. Aging classrooms will be updated and the oldest wing in the building will be torn down.
A new $15.3 million elementary campus will replace Starry Elementary School. The district will renovate the existing Starry and use it for high school classes.
