The West Clermont Board of Education near Cincinnati announced the construction of a new consolidated high school. Under the plan, the district will merge Amelia and Glen Este High School into one school.
The new facility will be constructed at no additional costs to taxpayers because of a Tax Incentive Funding agreement that was brokered with Union Township Trustees, according to a press release.
Both schools will undergo extensive renovation, and part of the Glen Este campus will be demolished. The district will construct a single building for grades nine through 12, and the current Amelia school will house grades five through eight.
