George Washington U. fights growth limits imposed by Washington D.C.

George Washington University has sued Washington D.C. to block stringent new restrictions on campus growth. The university argues the rules unconstitutionally hamstring the college's academic freedom and discriminate against students. At issue are orders by the city's Board of Zoning Adjustment earlier this year that bar all campus construction and undergraduate enrollment expansion until the university houses more students on campus.
