The family of a University of Michigan freshman who fell to her death from her residence hall window is suing the fraternity whose members gave her alcohol shortly before she died. Courtney Cantor, 18, was not legally drunk when she fell head first from her sixth-floor window Oct. 16, 1998. But she had been drinking champagne and beer, given to her by Phi Delta Theta fraternity members.
