The Waukegan, Ill., School District 60 school board has voted to eliminate 162 additional positions for the coming year, adding about $3 million to a growing list of budget cuts intended to head off a looming deficit. The newest cuts are in addition to those announced earlier this month, in which 39 positions were eliminated for an estimated savings of $1.5 million. All 78 of the district's security positions were among the most recent eliminations.
