Paige announces initiatives to address financial mismanagement at Department of Education

U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige has announced an initiative to address mismanagement and abuse of federal resources occurring at the Department of Education during the past several years. According to the department’s inspector general, more than $450 million in department funds have been misused since 1998.
