drowned Tuesday after wading into a lake during practice. Divers found 15-year-old Thomas Blackmon dead about 50 minutes after teammates said he disappeared in the lake. Thomas was running with six or seven fellow track members when they decided to swim. Students said track team members sometimes took unauthorized swims during training runs.
