Faced with passionate pleas and threatened lawsuits, the Broward County, Fla., School Board is poised to reverse its decision to cut back summer classes for thousands of special-education students. The staff has recommended that the board restore the full six-week schedule for all children with disabilities, including an estimated 18,000 students who attend regular schools.
