Educators at The Harvard School in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood are hoping to cut down on summer brain drain this year by doing away with summer vacation. Starting in July, Harvard's calendar will expand to 215 days from 180. That will give Harvard the longest school year in Illinois. Most of the small private school's 61 students and their parents are embracing the idea.
