KC board seeks mediation to work out issues with superintendent

Kansas City school board members want a district-hired attorney to mediate differences between board members and Superintendent Benjamin Demps Jr. The mediation would cover the lack of communication between Demps and board members, whether Demps was committed to working with the board, and issues that Demps wants to raise about board actions.
