Compton, Calif., mayor wants second job: school superintendent

Compton, Calif., Mayor Omar Bradley is battling for re-election...and campaigning for another job: superintendent of the Compton Unified School District. Bradley, a longtime educator who has recently served as assistant superintendent in Lynwood, could legally hold both positions at once. He has aggressively advertised his interest in the school job.
