Arizona State U. gets land and $6 million to create cultural center

Arizona State University has received an anonymous gift of 100 acres of "pristine desert" plus $6 million, a package of land and cash that may be the largest arts donation in state history. The college received the gift with the stipulation that the property be developed as a cultural center for theater, music, dance and the visual arts.
