Improvements to Bernardsville Middle School, Somerset County, will include eight new classrooms, a nurse's office, storage rooms and shared restroom facilities for the nearby township park. Improvements to Bernards High School, Somerset County, will include eight new classrooms, five laboratories, a new cafeteria with a kitchen and a new auditorium with a stage. Del Val High School, Hunterdon County, improvements will include eight new classrooms, an upgraded cafeteria and a childcare classroom.

Schoor DePalma, an engineering and consulting firm, will design improvements at each site to accommodate the additions and alterations. Improvements include relocation of school parking areas to accommodate the new school building additions, new sidewalks, re-evaluation of traffic circulation around the school, drainage improvements, and possible upgrades to the schools' existing entry and exit driveways. In addition to developing site improvement plans, the four schools also will undergo boundary and topographic surveys, wetland investigation, environmental assessments, and preparations for construction plans and specifications for each project.
