Debbi Waters, LEED AP BD+C

Debbi Waters, LEED AP BD+C, brings more than three decades of experience planning and programming higher education facilities to her role as senior associate at Spacesmith, an award-winning design and facilities advisory firm. Her planning work includes student health and wellness projects for UC Santa Cruz, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, College of the Desert, California State University Maritime Academy, and Midwestern State University. Most recently, she served as a planner for Princeton University's Frist Health Center, which received the Platinum Award in the Healthcare Design 2026 Interior Design Competition. A frequent speaker on student wellbeing and campus planning, Waters presented recently on "Creating a Culture of Wellness" at a Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Annual Conference.
