Colleges add more support to help students get through online courses

Higher-education institutions are trying to use online materials and courses to give more students access to college and help them graduate on time. The New York Times says nearly half of all undergraduates in the United States enter college needing remedial work. To help those students successfully complete the online courses offered, universities are beginning to add extra supports to “massive open online courses,” or MOOCs.
