TheManatee County (Fla.) district is building an elementary school in Bradenton that will not only incorporate sustainable elements in its design but also include a green-themed curriculum for students. The G.D. Rogers Gardens Elementary School will partner with an area marine lab and planetarium, and environmental subjects such as marine life and alternatives for energy and transportation will be woven into math, reading and writing lessons.
