Augsburg College hopes students will choose cycling over motorized transportation.
Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn., is helping students combat soaring energy costs by beginning a bike-share program on campus. Students, staff, and faculty members are able to check out a bike free of charge for 24 hours. Bikes have been donated by a local shop, as well as faculty and staff. Participants receive a membership card and can check out bicycles from the school library, where they are provided with a helmet and a bike lock. Bikes will be available for use in the spring, summer and fall.To read the Augsburg College news release, click here.
