University of Phoenix buys energy credits

TheUniversity of Phoenix is buying millions of kilowatt-hours worth of renewable-energy credits from a wind farm in Washington state through Salt River Project's EarthWise program. The school will buy 46.5 million kilowatt-hours of renewable-energy credits, which equals the electricity used by its 26 buildings in the Phoenix area in a year, officials say.
