Carolina International School, a charter school in Harrisburg, N.C., is building a new facility that it hopes will become the first LEED-certified building in Cabarrus County. The 26,000-square-foot, $5.5 million facility will be the school’s first permanent school building--for now, it uses portable classrooms. Eventually the new building will house grades 7 to 12.
