Santa Clara University installs solar panels

School received $150,000 in energy rebates for choosing system.

Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif., has received $125,000 in rebates from the city's municipal electric utility for the installation of a 50-kilowatt photovoltaic system. The 338-panel solar system is constructed on the university’s main facilities building and is projected to produce an average of 80,300 kilowatt-hours annually.
