Montana hopes to increase pre-K opportunities

Montana does not currently dedicate state funding for preschool education, but it’s trying to change that, the Billings Gazette reported. The state has applied for a $40 million federal grant and, if the funding is secured, it plans to add a $37 million match. The funding, which would go to low-income areas, would increase pre-K opportunities in the state.
