South Dakota school district ready to try, try, try, try again

Supporters of a $9.9 million school bond in Tea, S.D., want a recount after the measure failed by two votes. If the recount doesn’t change the outcome, this will mark the third time the bond issue in the city of 4,300 people has failed. But school officials aren’t giving up. "59.88% saying 'Yes' makes it difficult, but that's how it is. It gives me encouragement to move forward,' Superintendent Jennifer Lowery told Keloland TV. The bond would allow the school district to expand an elementary school and build a new performing arts center at the high school.
