Tornado damage prompts numerous school closures in Dallas area

Several school facilities sustained damage, and other campuses were without power Monday.

Many schools in the Dallas area have cancelled classes on Monday, after several campuses sustained damage in a tornado that struck Sunday night.

The Dallas Morning News reports that the Dallas district has cancelled classes at 20 campuses—14 because of power outages and six because of “extensive” storm damage.
