A Santa Ana (Calif.) Unified School District delivery truck fatally struck a 13-year-old girl riding a bicycle.

NBCLA.com reports that Priscilla Vallejo was riding her bicycle Monday morning at an intersection in Santa Ana when the truck struck her as it made a right turn. Emergency personnel tried to revive the girl, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the truck driver was shaken, but stopped as soon as he realized what happened. The district is cooperating with the police investigation.
