Surprise one-day strike prompted by drivers dissatisfied with bus company

Hundreds of Boston school buses have resumed their normal service ferrying students to classes this morning, a day after a surprise strike by the disgruntled drivers. Boston.com says more than 600 buses rolled out of their yards with only a few delays as some diehard union members tried to persuade their colleagues not to work. The district says 91 percent of buses today were on time and 98 percent had been only 10 minutes off schedule.
