Arizona no longer requires a college degree to begin teaching

The legislation signed by Gov. Doug Ducey says a person needs only to be enrolled to get a college degree to get a job teaching in public schools.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has signed legislation that allows people to teach in public schools without a college degree. 

The law states that a person needs only to be enrolled to get a college degree begin teaching in public schools, reports azfamily.com.

The bill also enables educators with expired licenses to renew their license more easily, reports KSAZ-TV

The Arizona Educators Association opposed the law.
