University of Kentucky acquires land in Lexington for a cancer outpatient center
The University of Kentucky in Lexington has acquired land for $6.9 million to construct a new outpatient cancer treatment and advanced ambulatory complex.
The Markey Cancer Outpatient Center will enable the university to expand its outpatient care and increase ease of access for the Markey Cancer Center, the university says in a news release.
The proposed complex includes 260,000 square feet of space for cancer services. Other spaces include advanced ambulatory clinics and structured parking as well as space for services such as outpatient operating rooms, procedures rooms, diagnostics and imaging services, pharmacy and lab services and room for meetings and support services.
