Judge says Illinois district violated zoning laws by building bleachers without approval

A judge has ruled that Crystal Lake (Ill.) school district officials violated the law by building 51-foot-tall bleachers on the Crystal Lake South High School football field without going through the city's zoning process. The Chicago Tribune reports that the judge stopped short of ordering school officials to tear down the $1 million bleachers. A lawyer for the district declined to say what it would do next.
