New Catholic middle school set to open in Grand Forks, North Dakota
The Catholic Diocese of Fargo, North Dakota, is opening a middle school later this year in Grand Forks.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that the permanent home for the Carlo Acutis Middle School will be built across the street from St. Michael's Catholic School in Grand Forks and will serve as a dedicated environment for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders.
The school will open its doors one grade at a time, starting with sixth grade for the 2025-26 school year.
The new school is the result of a partnership of Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Michael's Catholic Church. The partnership is being called the All Saints Catholic School Network.
Carlo Acutis, the school's namesake, is set to be canonized as a saint by Pope Leo XIV in September. Acutis, a London teen, created a website documenting Eucharistic miracles prior to his death from leukemia at age 15 in 2006.
