The Abilene (Texas) school district has approved a $29 million program to upgrade lighting and HVAC systems

The district will allocate $8 million of its own money toward the project; the rest will come from a municipal finance lease, reports The Abilene Reporter-News.

The district's $138.7 million 2018 bond included $10 million for HVAC upgrades in the district, but it was not enough to cover all the needed work.
