Massachusetts high school is constructing a parking canopy outfitted with solar panels

The structure at North High School in Worcester will have a capacity of 718 kilowatts.

A solar parking canopy will help provide renewable energy for North High School in Worcester, Mass. 

The structure will have a capacity of 718 kilowatts and once completed will be the second largest solar array on municipal property in Worcester, reports Spectrum News 1

Contractors began construction of the parking canopy in August.

Solar parking canopies will also be constructed at the Nelson Place Elementary School and West Tatnuck Elementary School.
