California school district enters $6 million settlement

The Turlock Unified School District in California has agreed to pay a $6 million settlement in a lawsuit after a 6-year old girl suffered head trauma in a playground fall. The injury was not properly addressed by staff and administration at Dennis Earl Elementary School, according to the court. The girl’s grandparents said that students were playing an unsupervised game of tag and slammed into their granddaughter, the Turlock City News reported.
