Northside district in San Antonio says hacker's attempts did not disrupt district's computer system

From The San Antonio Express-News: Someone purportedly connected with the hacker group Anonymous says he took down the Northside (Texas) Independent School District's website to protest the district's use of tracking badges, but a district spokesman says the district's site was never compromised. In a statement posted online, a self-described teenager says he took the site down because the district “is stripping away the privacy of students in your school.” Northside, based in San Antonio, has been testing a radio frequency identification (RFID) tracking system at Jay High School and Jones Middle School to track attendance and maximize per-student funding from the state.
