A private developer has bought a 1.4-acre site inDearborn, Mich., to build a 500-bed student housing complex will create the first housing structure built exclusively for University of Michigan-Dearborn students. With space on campus at a premium, U-M Dearborn is looking off-campus for housing. The school hopes to enroll 12,000 students by 2012, an increase from the current 8,600-student commuter population.
