Huntsville (Ala.) district urges patience on plans for new high school

The Huntsville (Ala.) school board is urging parents to be patient about the district's plan to build a new Lee High School. District plans call for a $42.5 million, 250,000-square-foot school for 1,200 students, but officials say the project is more complex than a typical high school because facility must be designed meticulously to accommodate the school's fine arts magnet program. Parents have complained that the school's deterioration is hampering the fine arts magnet program. The architect is SKT Architects.
